Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Renzo Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Israel Kamakawiwo Ole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves throws a lazy right hand but Kamakawiwo Ole sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kamakawiwo Ole scores with a jab to the body.
Kamakawiwo Ole dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Alves . That did some damage!
Kamakawiwo Ole lands a nice hook to Alves 's body. Alves takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Alves changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kamakawiwo Ole tries to avoid it but Alves manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kamakawiwo Ole to the ground. Kamakawiwo Ole escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Kamakawiwo Ole counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Alves throws a right hand that Kamakawiwo Ole ducks under and follows up with a left that Kamakawiwo Ole also avoids with ease.

Kamakawiwo Ole tries to keep at a distance but Alves has taken the fight into the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Alves drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kamakawiwo Ole sprawls and moves away.
Alves moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Israel Kamakawiwo Ole has been cut.

Alves is looking to break free of the clinch but Kamakawiwo Ole has double underhooks.
Alves has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Kamakawiwo Ole is trying to keep an underhook but Alves manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Kamakawiwo Ole felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Renzo Alves overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Alves thows a huge punch but Kamakawiwo Ole dodges it nicely.
Alves looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kamakawiwo Ole with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Alves thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kamakawiwo Ole's head.
Alves uses his free foot to push down on Kamakawiwo Ole's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kamakawiwo Ole.
