Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rami Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harris comes to the cage accompanied by Jedi Theme Music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rami Harris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tyson Pain! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pain shoots in for a double leg but Harris sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Pain with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Harris to score with a decent uppercut. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Harris - that will leave a mark!
Harris clobbers Pain with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Pain shoots in but Harris avoids the takedown attempt easily. Pain has his takedown stuffed letting Harris counter with a right hand. Rami Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Pain. Harris tries to sprawl but Pain drives through with a takedown into half guard. Harris kicks off Pain and gets to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pain shoots in for a double leg but Harris sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Harris lands with a hook. Pain tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. A looping hook to the body misses from Harris. Pain does a little dance to reset his feet. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Pain shoots in for a takedown but Harris shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Pain steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Harris. That one must have hurt. Pain tries for a takedown but Harris sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nice sprawl there from Harris as Pain shoots in. Harris lands with a thumping leg kick.
Pain takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Pain fails with the takedown letting Harris counter with a right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris throws a leg kick which misses Pain's front leg but catches the back leg as Pain tries to avoid it. Harris scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Harris stuffs the takedown attempt from Pain. Pain gets slowly back to his feet. Harris digs a good body shot into Pain's ribs. Pain gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Harris counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Harris cracks Pain with an open hand slap. Harris connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Pain shoots in but no luck this time. Harris tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rami Harris is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Pain takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Pain scores with a takedown into Harris's guard. Pain looks winded! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pain prevents Harris from getting back to his feet. We've been hearing good reports from Harris's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Harris wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Pain manages to pass to side control. Pain misses with a head shot. Harris uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Harris looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Harris manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pain manages to get himself to full guard.
Pain working for a triangle but Harris defends it easily.
Pain is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pain bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Harris's guard. Pain with a flurry of punches that miss. Pain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harris swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Pain wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving. Harris looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Harris keeping moving, preventing Pain from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Pain advances position into side control! Pain tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Pain is looking to take a break and control but Harris is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pain prevents Harris from escaping the position. Pain trying to control the action but Harris is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rami Harris dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Harris slaps away a takedown attempt from Pain, before circling back to the center of the mat. Pain gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Harris counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Harris throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pain. Harris uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Pain has time to react. Harris lands a lovely overhand right. Harris lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Tyson Pain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A head kick from Harris lands but Pain takes it in his stride. Pain shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Harris as he avoids it easily. Rami Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Pain. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Harris misses with a two punch combination.
Harris works Pain's body with a nice hook. Pain shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Harris but Harris pushes him off and we're back to square one. Harris feints and then cracks Pain's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Pain down. Harris stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Harris wants it to stay on the feet. Harris is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pain can do to turn this around? Harris scores with a head kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Harris. Pain does a little dance to reset his feet. Rami Harris is winning the standup battle so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pain has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Harris connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Harris moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. A punch lands to the side of Pain 's head but he takes it in his stride. Pain shoots in but Harris avoids the takedown attempt easily. Pain shoots in looking for a takedown but Harris manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pain's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Harris fires out a quick counter leg kick but Pain just manages to avoid it. Harris lands a nice shot to the body.
Harris defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Pain. Pain is breathing heavily. Pain shoots for a takedown but Harris saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nice body kick there by Harris. Harris scores with a nice head shot. Pain fails with a takedown attempt. Pain takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Harris scores with a decent looking hook. Harris jabs Pain right on the nose. Pain blinks but takes it well. Left hook, right uppercut from Harris. Harris scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pain blocks a head kick by Harris.
Pain is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Harris's half guard. Harris wants to get back to his feet. Pain tries to pass the half guard into mount. Harris knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Harris is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Harris continues to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pain is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Harris has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pain has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Pain tries to control but Harris wriggling away. Pain wants to control but Harris has made it back to half guard. Nice work. Pain is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Harris defends it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Harris is not content to let Pain control the position. Harris is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Pain wants to pass the guard but Harris is defending well. Pain is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rami Harris dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Harris fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Pain has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Harris cracks Pain with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Pain misses with a takedown attempt and Harris counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Pain takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Pain with a poor takedown and Harris makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Pain moves forwards but Harris connects with a nice, crisp jab. Harris connects with a body shot. Harris lands a head shot. Harris stuffs the takedown attempt from Pain. Pain gets slowly back to his feet. Rami Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Pain. Pain has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Harris finds it's way round the side to connect with Pain's head. Pain decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Harris wants to improve his position but Pain is controlling well.
Pain is looking to advance position but Harris won't allow it. Pain not landing any meaningful shots this time. Pain takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris tries to get to full guard but Pain has control of the leg. Pain trying to pass the guard but Harris defending well. Pain trying to control from half guard but Harris is working away. Pain might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Harris haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Harris is pressing down on Pain's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Harris is controlling Pain's posture. Pain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Harris swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tyson Pain has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Pain throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Pain advances position into side control! Harris is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Harris sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Pain wants to advance to full mount but Harris doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Pain tries to free his leg and advance position but Harris is retaining full guard. Tyson Pain has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pain advances position into side control! Harris is not content to let Pain control the position. Harris is looking for a sweep. Rami Harris is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Harris is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Pain asserts his dominance and retains side control. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Pain takes a kick to the side of the head. Pain with a poor takedown and Harris counters with a lovely straight right hand! Harris throws a shot to the body.
Pain takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Harris gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Harris controlling the position. Harris working a defensive guard here.
And that's the end of the fight! Rami Harris showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Harris, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
