The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones throws the left hand but Cooper avoids the punch easily.
Cooper looks to land a body kick but Jones moved away.
Cooper tries to clinch up.
Jones appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Cooper closes the distance and pushes Jones back into the cage.
Jones lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Cooper backwards.
Cooper swings wildly with an uppercut but Jones uses good head movement to avoid it.

The fight stays on the outside here - Cooper looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jones tries to counter with a takedown but Cooper is quick to defend against it.

Cooper told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cooper doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cooper manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Cooper's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Jones lands a big right hand that drops Cooper! The killer instinct kicks in and Jones finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Jones!

After winning the bout, Arial Jones thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
