Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Buru Doragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Buru Doragon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jason Gonzalez!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Igor Prikhodko and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Doragon misses.
Doragon looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Doragon lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.


It looks like Jason Gonzalez has been cut.

Doragon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gonzalez pulls his leg out and moves away.
A left and a right from Doragon both land. Nice combination.

Doragon creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Gonzalez sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Doragon has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Doragon wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gonzalez, who protects the arm well.
Gonzalez is trying to control Doragon's posture but Doragon avoids it.
The strikes coming from Doragon are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gonzalez can do anything to dispel that myth.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
You can see the frustration on Gonzalez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Doragon is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

A nice side step and Gonzalez releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Doragon forces Gonzalez back against the cage and clinches.
Doragon is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Gonzalez gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Doragon stops a takedown attempt from Gonzalez.
Doragon tries to score a body lock takedown but Gonzalez shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Doragon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gonzalez can do to turn this around?
Gonzalez is looking to take this one to the mat.

Doragon drags the fight down to the ground.
Gonzalez in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Gonzalez stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Doragon has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Gonzalez manages to get his head free but now Doragon has transitioned to an armbar! Gonzalez grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Doragon! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Buru Doragon!
The defeated Jason Gonzalez had this to say: 'I will come back stronger. I made a bullshit mistake and I will correct my dumb ass mistakes. The next one will be a win.'.
