Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mirek Pyrek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Check by:Young Thug kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Mirek Pyrek could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Douglas Martin's chin.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pyrek cracks Martin with an open hand slap.
Pyrek with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Martin shoots in but no luck this time.

Martin looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Martin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pyrek does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
My spies in Canadian Top Team inform me that Martin has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Martin is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pyrek sees it coming and defends easily.

Martin is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pyrek has managed to free his arm - good work.
Pyrek tries to kick Martin off but Martin keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Martin seems to be looking for submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pyrek wants to get back to his feet.
Pyrek wants to stand back up but Martin manages to pass into side control.
Pyrek is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Martin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Martin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Pyrek bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Martin dives in and grabs Pyrek's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pyrek pushes down on Martin's head and hops out.
Martin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pyrek's waist but Pyrek gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Martin off to one side.
Mirek Pyrek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Douglas Martin.
Martin looks winded!
A right-left combo lands from Pyrek.
Mirek Pyrek is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Martin shoots and misses

and Pyrek counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Pyrek tries to break free but Martin pushes him back against the cage.
Pyrek wants to break free but Martin has control.
Martin keeps control of Pyrek as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Pyrek wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Martin has him pressed against the cage.
Martin goes for a takedown attempt but Pyrek pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Martin seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Pyrek shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Martin is backing up but Pyrek catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Martin covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Pyrek Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mirek Pyrek!
Douglas Martin spoke after the fight, saying 'Much respect! Next time I will not LOSE!!'.
