Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Matheus Silva and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jeronimo throws a lazy head kick
and Mccarty counters by moving into the clinch.
Mccarty pulls guard.
Jeronimo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jeronimo looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Mccarty is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jeronimo is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jeronimo wants to pass the guard but Mccarty is keeping the position.

Mccarty jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jeronimo walks away with a smile on his face. Mccarty gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mccarty really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jeronimo shoots in but no luck this time.
Mccarty stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mccarty wants it to stay on the feet.

Mccarty throws a strike but Jeronimo rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

That was a close round but I would say that Rodger Mccarty will probably get the nod.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jeronimo.

Jeronimo lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Mccarty can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Jeronimo and Mccarty drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Jeronimo.
