Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Omar Abidi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Omar Abidi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Josh Roberts! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roberts avoids the head kick by Abidi.
Abidi darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Roberts landing rabbit punches to the side of Abidi's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points. Roberts is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Roberts wants to get back to full guard. Roberts is not content to let Abidi control the position. Roberts tries to roll over but Abidi keeps him under control. Abidi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Roberts on the ground. Roberts misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Roberts is trying to control but Abidi manages to pass to mount!
Roberts is working to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Roberts wants to control but Abidi is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roberts keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Roberts looks gassed! Abidi gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Good shot there by Abidi. No joy there for Abidi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Abidi clinches up against the cage. Abidi is struggling to control the position. Roberts has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Abidi avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Abidi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Roberts throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Abidi. Abidi rushes Roberts and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Roberts looking for a takedown. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Abidi. Roberts tries for a takedown but Abidi manages to get underhooks.
Omar Abidi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Roberts. Abidi has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Roberts uses from the top position. Abidi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Roberts avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Roberts drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Abidi dives on top into guard. Roberts looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roberts is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Roberts is keen to just control but Abidi is a slippery customer. Roberts wants to pass to mount but Abidi is defending the position. Abidi is trying to control but can't.
Roberts seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Abidi is trying to get back to full guard. Roberts wants to pass the guard but Abidi is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Roberts wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Abidi uses the opportunity to regain full guard. Roberts tries to free his leg and advance position but Abidi is retaining full guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Abidi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Roberts as he jumps to the side. Roberts moves into the clinch. Abidi stops a takedown attempt from Roberts.
Abidi wants to break free but Roberts has control.
Abidi has Roberts pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Abidi pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Roberts tumbling to the mat - Abidi dives into Roberts's guard. Roberts manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Omar Abidi dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Roberts drives through and clinches with Abidi against the cage.
Abidi is pressed up against the cage. Roberts has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Abidi down to the mat. Abidi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Roberts stuffs the takedown attempt from Abidi. Abidi gets slowly back to his feet. Abidi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Roberts pinned against the cage. Roberts gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Roberts doesn't succeed with the takedown and Abidi counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Abidi. Roberts escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Abidi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Roberts throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roberts lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Abidi! Roberts lands with some strikes. Roberts lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Abidi defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Roberts. Roberts dominating with strikes here. Roberts wants to control the pace but Abidi is squirming around nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Abidi is trying desperately to improve position. Roberts has hold of Abidi's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Abidi manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Abidi regains half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Abidi is not content to let Roberts control the position. Abidi is defending against the submission attempts here by Roberts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Abidi keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Roberts is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Roberts wants to stand but Abidi has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Roberts has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Abidi works to full guard. Roberts trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Roberts stopping the sweep attempt from Abidi. Abidi looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Roberts misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Omar Abidi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Roberts. Roberts tries to close the distance and clinch but Abidi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Abidi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Omar Abidi dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Abidi shoots in for a takedown but Roberts shows good takedown defense. Roberts doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Abidi counter with a right hand. No joy there for Roberts, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Roberts counters with a one-two to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Abidi wants to clinch but Roberts slips to the side and Roberts counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Roberts stands up out of the half guard. Abidi instigates a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Abidi stops a takedown attempt from Roberts.

Abidi manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Roberts stops a takedown attempt from Abidi.
Abidi lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Roberts. Abidi is trying to break the clinch but Roberts has him pressed against the cage. Roberts is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Abidi pulls him back up using the underhooks. Roberts drops down looking for an ankle pick but Abidi pulls his leg out and moves away.

Omar Abidi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Abidi misses with a takedown attempt - Roberts sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Roberts is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Roberts is looking to clinch. Roberts looks to clinch and Abidi counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Roberts! Roberts can't escape the position.
Roberts is squirming around, avoiding Abidi's attempts to control the action. Abidi sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Abidi with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Abidi wants to control the action but instead Roberts gets a body lock and reverses into Abidi's guard! Nice work! Omar Abidi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Abidi has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Roberts has passed into side control.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Omar Abidi. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Abidi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
