Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hoerkund The Golem! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Castle! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Golem ducks under a wild hook from Castle. The Golem looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
It looks like Hoerkund The Golem has been cut. Castle shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. The Golem takes a swing at Castle's ribcage but misses. Castle misses with a body shot.
A jab from The Golem misses. Castle lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Castle walks into a left hand. The Golem definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Castle misses the shot to the body. The Golem misses with a straight left. The Golem throws out a loose jab but Castle uses good head movement to avoid it. Castle throws an overhand right that lands on The Golem's shoulder, as The Golem tries to avoid the shot. Castle gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Castle fails in his attempt to clinch. The Golem throwing a counter right hand but Castle manages to avoid it. Castle moves into the clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Castle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The Golem missing with a left hand there. Castle was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Castle misses with a hook. The Golem ducked under it nicely. Castle uses good head movement to avoid the hook from The Golem. The Golem scores with a nice right hand.
It looks like Frank Castle has been cut. Castle tries to keep at a distance but The Golem has taken the fight into the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Golem escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Castle connects with a body shot. The Golem missing with a left hand there. Castle was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Castle takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. A looping hook to the body misses from Castle. The Golem does a little dance to reset his feet. Castle throws out a token jab with nothing on it. The Golem lands with a hook. Castle tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. The Golem cracks Castle with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Castle falls to his knees and The Golem doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hoerkund The Golem! Hoerkund The Golem looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'Guuuuuuughhhhhh . . . '.
