Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yong Winters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arvo Senna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Yong Winters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Arvo Senna!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Senna shoots in for a takedown but Winters shows good takedown defense.
As Senna looks to move away, Winters throws a big counter combo bu Senna just gets out of the way.
Senna misses with a leg kick

and Winters counters with a takedown into side control.
Senna is looking for a sweep.
Senna avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Winters.

Winters tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Winters has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Winters is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Senna has escaped the position, nice work there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Senna managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Winters.

Senna tries to improve position but can't.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Senna is in all sorts of trouble here.

Winters jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Senna manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Senna tries to improve position but can't.
Senna wants to get back to his feet but Winters is dominant here and he's now got Senna's back!
Senna trying to control the hands but Winters breaks the grip.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Senna's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Senna is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Winters working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Winters is not going to allow Senna to sit and survive in this position.
Senna wants to escape the position.

Winters has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Senna has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Senna trying to control the action but Winters just sinks the hooks in.
Senna might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Winters haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Winters keeps control of the position as Senna tries to break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Winters tries to clinch up but Senna circles away and keeps his distance.
Senna fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Winters avoids it really well and circles away.
Senna throws a head kick that misses
and Winters connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Winters pulls Senna into guard.
Winters looking to control.

Senna missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Winters working for a triangle but Senna defends it easily.
Winters doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Winters escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Senna gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Senna must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Senna throws a strike but Winters rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Winters gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Senna clinches up with Winters and pushes him back against the cage.
Winters is working for takedown but Senna is calmly controlling the position for now.

Winters changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Senna fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Arvo Senna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Senna throws a right and a left that both miss.

Senna forces Winters back against the cage and clinches.
Winters blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Senna manages to break the clinch.
Winters is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Senna can do to turn this around?
Senna misses with a body kick.
Winters throws a big counter combination but Senna scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Senna closes this distance looking for a takedown but Winters circles away.

Senna closes the distance and pushes Winters back into the cage.

Senna breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Yong Winters is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Senna takes a swing at Winters's ribcage but misses.
Winters seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Winters keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Yong Winters has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arvo Senna.

Winters misses with a takedown attempt - Senna sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Senna gets a clinch.
Senna is trying to drag Winters to the mat but Winters just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Winters jumps guard but Senna stands there with Winters around his waist. Winters gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Winters is trying to pull guard but Senna turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Winters gets to his feet - Senna follows without any prompting.
Senna closes the distance and clinches up with Winters, looking for a takedown. Senna pushes Winters against the cage but Winters circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Arvo Senna showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Senna dives in for a single leg takedown but Winters sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Senna circles away from the clinch attempt.

Winters has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Senna clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Senna tries to roll but Winters sticks to his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Senna is still trying to improve position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

I really don't envy Senna right now.
