Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Davison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Davison is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Davison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stan Smith ! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davison throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Smith digs a good body shot into Davison's ribs. Smith ducks under a wild hook from Davison. Smith looking to score a takedown here. Davison is defending well but Smith drives through and ends up in Davison's guard. Davison keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Davison looking for a sweep. Not yet Davison, not yet. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Smith accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Smith throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Davison works some decent striking defense from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davison swivels though and keeps the full guard. Davison has control of Smith 's left arm, preventing Smith from doing any damage. Davison keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Davison works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Chris Davison seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Davison pinned against the cage. Davison gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Smith moves out of range as Davison strikes. Davison clobbers Smith with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Excellent takedown into side control there by Smith . Davison keeping his opponent close. Davison can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davison tries to buck Smith off but Smith is having none of it. Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Davison keeps working. Davison parries the strikes from Smith easily there. Smith is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Davison to escape.
Smith throwing shots but missing, from side control. The strikes coming from Smith are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Smith throws a strike aimed at the side of Davison's head but Davison avoids it well. Smith tries to advance to mount but Davison denies him. Smith connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Davison some visible discomfort.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith working away. Davison is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Smith is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Smith tries to score with some ground and pound. Davison controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Davison manages to work his way to half guard, despite Smith 's best efforts. Smith working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Davison's thigh. Davison counters though and makes it back to full guard. Smith postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Smith wants to pass the guard but Davison is keeping the position. Smith makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Smith accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Davison looks to land a left hand but Smith moved out of range nicely. Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Davison moves away. Davison drops down looking for a counter takedown but Smith sprawls and moves away. Davison misses the jab. A slow jab from Davison misses its intended target. Smith scores with a sloppy right hand. Davison should have avoided that one. Smith slips under a jab. Davison closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. You can see the frustration on Smith 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Smith is looking to reverse the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Davison misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Smith tries to bench press Davison off him but Davison keeps the position. Davison sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Smith is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Davison landing a few strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Stan Smith will probably get the nod. That's time! Davison's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Davison misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Davison throws a hook but Smith blocks it. Sloppy strikes from Smith . Those never looked like landing. Stan Smith is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Davison shoots in looking for a takedown. Smith tries to sprawl out of it but Davison keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smith manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Horrible takedown attempt by Davison or perhaps it was just good defense by Smith , which made it look bad. And Smith tries to counter it with a takedown but Davison pushes his down on his head and steps out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Davison. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smith uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Davison. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith misses with a jab, cross combination.
Smith throws a good cross that connects.
Davison misses the shot to the body. Smith misses with a straight right. Nice uppercut lands for Smith . That snapped Davison's head back.
It looks like Chris Davison has been cut.

Davison tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Smith swivels and escapes. Davison shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Smith sprawls well. Smith wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Davison gets slowly back to his feet. Davison dives in and grabs Smith 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes down on Davison's head and hops out. Smith tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Davison misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Nice defenses there by Smith . Smith misses with a two punch combination.
Smith throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Smith looks to score with a jab to the body but Davison is just out of range.

Davison misses with a wild body shot. This has been an exciting period of action! Smith drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. My spies in LOD: Xtreme MMA inform me that Smith has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Davison looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Smith is looking to pass into half guard but Davison pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Davison is in guard. Davison stands up over Smith , holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Smith is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Smith working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Davison. Davison throws a big right hand that misses. Davison lands a couple of digs. Smith wants to sweep but no luck. Smith is trying to keep Davison in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Davison pulls Smith in close to prevent any damage. Smith landing some decent shots from guard. Stan Smith showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Chris Davison's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Stan Smith seems to be getting the better of the standup. Davison defending well as Smith loads up on a big left hand. Smith stuffs the takedown attempt from Davison. Davison gets slowly back to his feet. Smith throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Davison sees it coming and avoids it easily. Davison drops down looking for a counter takedown but Smith sprawls and moves away. Smith throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Davison lands a nice shot that snaps Smith 's head back.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Smith wants to pass the guard but Davison is keeping the position. Davison wants to sweep but no luck. Chris Davison has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Smith slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Smith wants to control from the top but Davison keeps moving. Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davison swivels though and keeps the full guard. Davison is adopting a defensive guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Davison tries to counter with a takedown but Smith is quick to defend against it. Smith swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Davison misses the jab. Smith smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Davison shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Davison throws a right hand that misses
and Davison takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Davison throws a lazy uppercut
and Smith counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Smith .
And that's the end of the fight! Stan Smith comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Smith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
