Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Denver Carver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roberto El Condor! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Saam Ante and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Carver enables El Condor to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Carver manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Carver wriggles free and stands up. El Condor looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! El Condor takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Carver scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Carver scores with a jab to the head.
Horrible takedown attempt by Carver or perhaps it was just good defense by El Condor, which made it look bad. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! No luck with that takedown attempt from Carver. El Condor throws a counter combo. El Condor is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Carver's half guard. Carver has one foot on El Condor's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carver scores with a kick to the midsection. El Condor throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Carver tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. El Condor is in Carver's guard. Carver is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. El Condor presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Carver pulls guard. Carver manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carver tries a body shot but El Condor blocks it.
Carver breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Carver uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Carver scores with a nice head shot. El Condor with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Carver to score with a decent uppercut. El Condor looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Carver drives through with a takedown into El Condor's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carver decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. El Condor takes a shot right to the bread basket. Carver shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as El Condor sprawls well. El Condor wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Carver gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denver Carver. That's going to take a lot out of him. El Condor moves into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carver tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. El Condor just stands there and leans against the cage. Carver managing to block the knees to the body from El Condor.
Carver is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Carver breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Carver gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows El Condor to score an easy takedown into full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. El Condor trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. El Condor stopping the sweep attempt from Carver. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Carver is on top in guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Carver is nestled in close to El Condor, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Carver is controlling the pace.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Denver Carver dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
El Condor changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carver looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Carver bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Carver shoots in for a takedown but El Condor shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. letting Carver counter with a right hand. Carver fails to land the takedown. It seemed like El Condor was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. El Condor is breathing heavily. Carver is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in El Condor's half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carver is working for a kimura but El Condor is defending it quite comfortably.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Carver will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Carver is working for a submission of some sort.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. El Condor tries to get to full guard but Carver has control of the leg. Carver seems to be working for a kimura but El Condor defends the submission attempt. El Condor wants to control but Carver is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Carver seems content to control. El Condor is trying to get back to full guard. Carver scoring with strikes to the body and head. Carver looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks El Condor with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Carver perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Denver Carver overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Carver decides to stand and escape the position. Carver dives in for a single leg takedown but El Condor sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denver Carver. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. El Condor rushes Carver and presses him up against the cage. Carver pulls guard effortlessly. Carver looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Carver manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. El Condor manages to get himself to full guard.
Carver decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Carver lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. El Condor shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Carver throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Carver fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but El Condor avoids it really well and circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denver Carver. That's going to take a lot out of him. Carver tries for a takedown but El Condor sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Carver drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carver working the ground and pound but El Condor is defending the strikes. El Condor manages to work his way to half guard, despite Carver's best efforts. Carver content to control rather than advance. Carver really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Carver is trying to work for a kimura but El Condor is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Carver drops an elbow to the side of El Condor's head. Carver prevents El Condor from improving his position. Carver is looking for a kimura but El Condor is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Carver to get the leverage. Carver seems to be looking for submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. El Condor pushes Carver off looking to stand but Carver dives back in and keeps control.
Carver decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Carver is trying hard to land a takedown here. El Condor sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Carver shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts El Condor as he jumps to the side. El Condor throws a combination that misses and Carver counters with a lovely straight right hand! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Carver fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. El Condor sprawls well initially but Carver persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Roberto El Condor has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Denver Carver is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Carver looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that's the end of the fight! Denver Carver showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carver, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
