Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bumpy Knucks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Monroe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Bumpy Knucks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Monroe!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knucks has a takedown stuffed.
Knucks fails with a takedown attempt.
Knucks looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bumpy Knucks. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Knucks shoots in for a takedown but Monroe shows good takedown defense.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knucks misses with a looping right.
Monroe throws a head kick but Knucks moves out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Knucks.

Knucks really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Knucks throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Monroe tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Monroe closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Knucks is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Monroe's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Monroe's back!

Knucks has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Monroe's body.
Monroe tries to escape but Knucks has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Knucks is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Monroe is defending well though. Knucks let's go of the attempt for now.
Monroe is trying to get back to his feet but Knucks has full control of the position and if anything, Monroe has just worked his way into a worse spot.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Knucks is trying to stick to Monroe's back but Monroe is turning into Knucks. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Knucks's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Monroe.

Knucks throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Monroe works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Knucks is looking to work some ground and pound but Monroe has wrist control.
Knucks is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Monroe is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Knucks trying to stand up but can't free himself from Monroe's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Monroe can do anything to dispel that myth.
Knucks lands a couple of elbows.
Knucks looking to sit in guard and control but Monroe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Knucks escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Monroe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Monroe is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Knucks is trying to control the position but Monroe postures up.
Knucks utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Knucks lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Monroe!

Monroe has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Knucks is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Knucks is trying to drag Monroe to the mat but Monroe just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there.

Knucks lands an elbow inside that Monroe shrugs off.

Knucks has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Monroe is working away from the top position though.

Monroe is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Knucks is just riding it out for now. Monroe eventually gives up the hold.

Knucks wants to sweep but no luck.
Monroe cracks Knucks with a solid left hand.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Knucks is on top in guard.

Knucks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Monroe is trying desperately to improve position.

Knucks is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Monroe is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Monroe fails to land with a series of punches.
Knucks throws a head kick that misses

and Monroe counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Monroe stands up and waves to Knucks to follow him.

The fighters are pressed against the ropes, as the pace of the fight slows.
Monroe seems to have recovered his senses.

Knucks seems to be working for a kimura but Monroe defends the submission attempt.
Knucks moves nicely into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Monroe is trying to get back to half guard.

Knucks has hold of Monroe's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Monroe seems comfortable defending it but Knucks has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Monroe is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Monroe is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Knucks couldn't care less - he's delighted!
