Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nelson Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cristian Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Nelson Gunn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
28 - 29 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cristian Romero! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunn looks for the body kick but Romero saw that one coming. Romero throws a counter combo. Romero drives through with a takedown into guard. Romero trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Romero keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gunn's head. Romero pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gunn is keeping the position for now. Gunn wants to get back to his feet but Romero is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Romero wants to control from the top but Gunn keeps moving. Romero stops Gunn from standing up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Romero pushes down on Gunn's leg and manages to get into half guard. Romero looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Gunn is trying to stand.
Gunn is not content to let Romero control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Romero throws a strike but Gunn avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Romero wants to control from the top but Gunn keeps moving. Romero is in close to Gunn's body, working some short punches and elbows. Romero wants to control from the top but Gunn keeps moving. Romero wants to pass the guard but Gunn is keeping the position. Romero is looking to pass into half guard but Gunn pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Gunn is in guard. Romero has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gunn can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gunn being controlled here momentarily. Romero looking for a sweep. Not yet Romero, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Romero pulls Gunn in to control the position. Gunn is looking to stand up but Romero won't let him. Romero looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gunn is one step ahead there. Our spies down at at Lokko Ltd. inform us that Romero has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Romero is trying to control the position but Gunn postures up. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Romero looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gunn is one step ahead there. Gunn has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Romero is working an open guard so Gunn takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Romero misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Gunn moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Gunn fails in his attempt to clinch. Gunn throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Romero takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Romero tries to land a body kick and Romero takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Gunn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Romero moves away. Romero moves out of range of the strikes. Sloppy strikes from Gunn. Those never looked like landing. Romero tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gunn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Romero somewhat. Romero closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gunn circles away. Nelson Gunn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cristian Romero. Romero throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Gunn pushes Romero up against the cage in a clinch. Gunn lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Romero being controlled against the cage. Gunn lands with a left to the head. Romero tries for a takedown but Gunn manages to get underhooks.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gunn slows down the pace here.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Gunn creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Romero tries to score a body lock takedown but Gunn shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gunn tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Romero avoids it. Gunn throws a knee to the head but misses.

Gunn pushes Romero back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Romero drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gunn pulls his leg out and moves away.
We've been told by Gunn's head coaches at The Fortress that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Nelson Gunn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Romero with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gunn to score with a decent uppercut. Gunn tries to clinch up but Romero circles away and keeps his distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nelson Gunn dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Romero misses with a head kick.
Romero fails with a takedown attempt. Gunn misses with a looping left. Romero is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. A telegraphed right hand from Gunn misses the target. Romero looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gunn is fending him off so far but Romero persists. Nope, Gunn circles away and we're back to standing. Romero throws a head kick but Gunn moves out of range.
A chopping leg kick lands by Gunn. Romero throws a leg kick and Gunn cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Romero tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gunn swivels and escapes. Nelson Gunn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cristian Romero. Gunn misses the shot to the body. Gunn gets in close and tags Romero with a short punch that almost sends Romero to the mat! Oh Romero is in big trouble! He turns his back on Gunn, trying to create some distance but Gunn rushes him, striking wildly and Romero goes down! The referee tackles Gunn into the cage to end the fight! Gunn is one violent man!
