Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Leeroy Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Meyer Lansky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenkins comes to the cage accompanied by Rock On. Lansky has chosen Stranglehold - Ted Nugent as his entrance music. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leeroy Jenkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Meyer Lansky! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, David Schapiro and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lansky shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Lansky is looking for a kimura but Jenkins is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lansky to get the leverage. Jenkins is looking to improve his position.
Lansky wants to pass to mount but Jenkins is defending the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lansky is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jenkins doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lansky. Jenkins trying to control here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lansky seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jenkins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Lansky seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jenkins has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Lansky is not content to let Jenkins control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jenkins goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Lansky appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Lansky uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jenkins.
Lansky looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Jenkins throws a low kick but Lansky moves out of range easily. Jenkins is looking to score with low kicks. Jenkins seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Jenkins leaves Lansky with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Leeroy Jenkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Meyer Lansky. Jenkins throws a wild body kick that Lansky sees coming a mile off. Jenkins scores with a decent looking hook. Lansky instigates a clinch. Jenkins throws a head kick that misses. Jenkins tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Despite the aggression on Lansky's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. A decent looking cross lands there for Jenkins. Lansky shoots in but no luck this time. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jenkins moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lansky is defended easily by Jenkins. Lansky tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jenkins paws at him with a jab and circles away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lansky shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jenkins defends it nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jenkins obviously looking to wear him down.
Lansky changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jenkins tries to avoid it but Lansky manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jenkins to the ground. Jenkins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lansky takes a head kick and keeps coming.

A chopping leg kick lands by Jenkins. Lansky closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jenkins circles away. Jenkins checks a leg kick nicely. Jenkins throws a quick inside leg kick. A head kick misses from Jenkins. Lansky shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jenkins defends it nicely. Lansky takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Jenkins is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jenkins lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Lansky shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jenkins counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jenkins, right into the meat.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lansky darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Lansky is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Jenkins as he works his way to full guard.

Jenkins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Lansky is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Lansky is trying to get an arm triangle but Jenkins is defending well. Lansky tries to move into full mount but can't pass Jenkins's legs. Lansky thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Jenkins is not content to let Lansky control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Leeroy Jenkins showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jenkins, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
