The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scorpion closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Parantainen takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Scorpion lands with a shot to the body.
Scorpion throws a body shot but no joy.
Scorpion falls off balance throwing a combination
and Parantainen counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Parantainen trying to control the action but Scorpion is working from the bottom.
Parantainen fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Scorpion defending against the ground and pound.
You can see the frustration on Scorpion's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Parantainen tries to score with some ground and pound. Scorpion controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Parantainen wants to control but Scorpion is keeping him busy.
Scorpion tries to bench press Parantainen off him but Parantainen keeps the position.
Scorpion has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Scorpion is holding Parantainen down, trying to stall.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Scorpion is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Parantainen is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Parantainen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Scorpion is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Parantainen cracks Scorpion with a big right hand but Scorpion just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Scorpion tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Parantainen has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Parantainen can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Scorpion is looking to escape.
Scorpion tries to lock up and control but Parantainen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

A nice elbow there by Parantainen.
Parantainen pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Parantainen drops a big elbow. That's hurt Scorpion! More shots from Parantainen and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

A relieved looking Jaakko Parantainen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
