Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Romero Gracie! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Machado tries to sprawl but Gracie drives through with a takedown into half guard. Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Machado keeps working. Machado is trying to maintain the position but Gracie is very close to passing his half guard. Machado looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Machado is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gracie's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gracie's back! Machado is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Gracie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Machado. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Machado is persistently looking for the submission but Gracie is defending it well.

Roger Machado decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
