Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Klay Montez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ganbaatar Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bad Seed - Watch It Burn. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Klay Montez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ganbaatar Khan! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khan lands a high kick!
It looks like Klay Montez has been cut. Khan throws a nice head kick!
Khan misses with a wild body shot. As Khan looks to move away, Montez throws a big counter combo bu Khan just gets out of the way. Montez has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. A head kick misses from Khan. Khan gets tackled into the cage by Montez. Montez maintains the clinch. Khan is looking to break free of the clinch but Montez has double underhooks. Khan tries to land a knee to the head but Montez blocks with his arms.
A frustrated look appears on Khan's face as he tries to break the clinch. Khan gets underhooks to prevent Montez's takedown attempt.

Montez tries to pull guard but Khan forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Khan is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Khan is defending well against a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Klay Montez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Khan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Montez dives in for a single leg takedown but Khan sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Khan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Montez takes a head kick and keeps coming.
This has been an exciting period of action! Montez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Khan's guard. Khan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Montez. Montez won't allow Khan to get back to his feet. Montez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Khan swivels though and keeps the full guard. Montez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Montez won't allow Khan to get back to his feet. Khan looks winded! Montez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Montez stops Khan from standing up. Montez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Montez distracts Khan with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Khan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Montez is controlling him. Montez throwing strikes but missing. Montez pushing down on Khan's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Montez perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Khan is pushing off trying to get to his feet. Montez has hold of the leg though and he's dropped back for a heel hook… has he got it?? YES! Khan is tapping! This fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Heel Hook). Klay Montez! Our winner, Klay Montez, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans. Ganbaatar Khan was interviewed post fight and said 'Even though I "lost" the fight, I am still the tougher warrior AND the better man. The Leftovers needed a fill in so I jumped in short notice a couple days after my last fight which I was still injured from. I will gladly crush your bones in a rematch as soon i'm 100% healed.'.
