The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniel with a poor takedown
and Soza counters with a straight right hand.
Soza misses with a hook. Daniel ducked under it nicely.
Daniel attempts a counter takedown but Soza avoids it well and moves away.
Soza scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Bryce Daniel has been cut.
Daniel shoots for a double leg takedown but Soza sprawls well. He's pushed Daniel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Soza! But no joy.
Daniel shoots in for a takedown but Soza shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bryce Daniel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A cross from Soza lands.
Daniel tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Soza defends well and Daniel ends up having to push Soza into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Soza is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Soza lands with a right hand.
Soza drops Daniel with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Daniel! Soza dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
