Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michel Tel� (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tel� comes to the cage accompanied by Michel Telo - Ai se eu te pego. The crowd seem to be enjoying Silver's choice of entrance music: Natural Born Killaz by Dr Dre & Ice Cube. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tel� jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Silver cracks Tel� with a good jab.
Silver steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tel�.
Silver throws a quick inside leg kick.
Tel� will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Silver looks to land a right hand but Tel� moved out of range.

so Tel� counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Tel� trying to control the position from guard on top but Silver is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tel� drops back, looking for a kneebar! Silver looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Silver looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Silver!

Tel� has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Silver can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Silver tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Tel�.
Tel� shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Silver but Silver pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Silver creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Tel� is looking to control Silver's arms but Silver gets an underhook and turns him. Now Tel� has his back to the cage.

I was talking to Tel�'s coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Silver lands an elbow that stopped Tel� in his tracks for a moment.
Tel� jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Silver walks away with a smile on his face. Tel� gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Silver looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Silver uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tel�.

Silver has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

and Tel� counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Silver thinking.
Tel� gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Tel� tries to bum rush Silver with a series of wild strikes but Silver uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Tel� takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Tel� takes one on the button.
Silver closes the distance and clinches.

Silver swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The fighters circling - Silver throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Tel� pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Silver thuds a left hand into Tel�'s body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Silver looks to score with a jab to the body but Tel� is just out of range.
Tel� appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Tel� moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Tel� looks for a takedown but Silver sprawls well.
Silver takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Tel� connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Tel� shoots in for a takedown but Silver shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Silver throws a low kick, looking for Tel�'s leg but Tel� calmly moves out of range.
Tel� throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Silver counters by moving into the clinch.
Silver comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Silver lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Tel� or not.
Tel� tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Benny Silver showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Silver wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

The crowd cheers as Silver lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tel� doesn't seem phased though.

Silver swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Tel� fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silver manages to avoid it.
Tel� lands with a good body shot.

Tel� on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Tel� looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Silver tries to kick Tel� off but Tel� keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Tel� maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Silver could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Tel� has cracked it and Silver is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Tel�!
