Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Coleman Skinner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jislaya Koshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jislaya Koshi has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Coleman Skinner's chin.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Coleman Skinner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jislaya Koshi! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skinner gets caught napping as Koshi dives in and scores a takedown. Skinner manages to retain guard. Koshi is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Skinner keeping moving, preventing Koshi from controlling successfully. Skinner striking off his back but it's not causing Koshi any problems. Koshi wants to control from the top but Skinner keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Koshi stays in close to Skinner's body and controls the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Koshi wants to pass the guard but Skinner is keeping the position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Koshi moves into full guard.
Skinner has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Koshi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Skinner defends well. Koshi looks winded!

Skinner is aware though and is defending well. Skinner wants to get up but he can't break Koshi's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Koshi wants to sweep here but Skinner controlling him for the moment. Skinner postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Skinner controls from within his opponent's guard. Koshi looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Skinner passes into half guard.
Koshi tries to get to full guard but Skinner has control of the leg. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Skinner in particular looking to stall.

Koshi is keen to just control but Skinner is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Koshi is controlling the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Skinner closes the distance and pushes Koshi back into the cage. Skinner manages to pull guard.

Koshi trying to control but Skinner is working from the bottom. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Skinner looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Koshi drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Skinner is looking for a sweep. Skinner regains half guard there - taking advantage of Koshi's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Skinner is not content to let Koshi control the position. Jislaya Koshi has got the better of the ground game so far. Skinner looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Koshi bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Skinner throws Koshi to one side and escapes! Skinner gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Skinner looking for a guillotine here but Koshi defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Koshi trying to control but Skinner is working from the bottom. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Skinner is trying to keep Koshi in close.

Koshi seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Skinner has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Koshi is trying to improve his position. Skinner is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Koshi has escaped the position, nice work there. You can see the frustration on Koshi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Koshi is looking for a sweep.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Coleman Skinner. I think Koshi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
