The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pike works Gilly's body with a nice hook.
Pike misses with a hook. Gilly ducked under it nicely.
Gilly misses with a left hand
and Gilly takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've been told by Pike's head coaches at The Beast that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Pike lands a leg kick that knocks Gilly off balance momentarily.
Pike is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Gilly.
It looks like Landon Pike has been cut.
Gilly throws a looping overhand right but Pike ducks down to avoid it.
Pike lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
It looks like Davey Gilly has been cut.
Gilly throws a combination that misses
and Pike counters with a huge left! Gilly is in big trouble! He's backing up but Pike isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Gilly from any more damage. A dominating finish by Pike!
