Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, DJ Thunda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abrax Dall! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, David Schapiro and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thunda misses the jab. Thunda throws a hook but Dall blocks it. Dall takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Dall ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. And Dall tries to counter it with a takedown but Thunda pushes his down on his head and steps out. Thunda connects with a nice looking jab.
Thunda swings widly with a right hand
and Dall counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Thunda thinking. A lazy left from Dall finds it's target. Thunda thuds his right hand into Dall's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Thunda moves into range and connects with a jab. Danga de danga de dang - Thunda scores with a four punch combination! This has been an exciting period of action! Thunda swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Thunda misses with a left hand and Dall counters with a lovely straight right hand! Good shot there by Thunda. Dall shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Thunda manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Thunda is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Dall is pushing down on Thunda's leg trying to pass to half guard. Thunda is fighting to maintain full guard but Dall has managed to sneak the leg through. Thunda is defending against the submission attempts here by Dall.
Thunda is trying to control but Dall manages to pass to mount!
Thunda is breathing heavily. Dall jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Thunda manages to avoid the submission attempt. Dall wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Thunda, who protects the arm well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dall is working to tighten his grip on Thunda's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Thunda has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Dall is really squeezing tight and eventually Thunda passes out! Dall breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Abrax Dall! An out of breath Abrax Dall thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
