Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bo Hicks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Mandana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bo Hicks! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joey Mandana! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mandana tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hicks defends well and Mandana ends up having to push Hicks into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Mandana closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hicks quickly recovers to half guard. Mandana has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at All Time Wrestling - 12 ELITE COACHES. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Mandana is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mandana is looking to advance position but Hicks won't allow it. Mandana seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Hicks is trying to control but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mandana thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hicks's head. Mandana is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hicks doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mandana. Hicks is trying to stand up here but Mandana is controlling him well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mandana works his way into side control. Hicks tries to improve position but can't. Mandana is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hicks has escaped the position, nice work there. Mandana tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Hicks knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mandana on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hicks is trying to improve his position. Mandana is trying to get an arm triangle but Hicks is defending well. Hicks on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hicks tries to get out of the position. Mandana wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hicks keeps working. Mandana taking a break here but Hicks is having none of it and regains half guard. Mandana is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Hicks!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hicks tries to reverse the position but Mandana maintains control. Mandana takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hicks could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Mandana throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mandana fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Mandana content just to control the position here. Mandana looking to control but Hicks is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Hicks is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Hicks is squirming around, avoiding Mandana's attempts to control the action. Mandana fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hicks is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Mandana locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Hicks is forced to tap!
