Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Augusto Pinochet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armani Cabrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Augusto Pinochet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Armani Cabrera!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pinochet shoots in and drives through. Cabrera sprawls well.
Cabrera is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Pinochet throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Cabrera throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Pinochet feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Cabrera manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pinochet goes for a double leg but Cabrera avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Cabrera continues to drive forward.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Pinochet throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cabrera takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cabrera. Pinochet does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Pinochet crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Cabrera - the referee stops the clock and Pinochet gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Cabrera. Pinochet manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cabrera can't keep his opponent in guard - Pinochet advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Cabrera has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Pinochet has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Cabrera taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Pinochet doesn't care though - he's delighted!
