Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jimi Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimi Aldo is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

John drags the fight down to the ground.
Aldo controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Aldo throws a strike but John rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
John really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aldo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Aldo doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Aldo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
John must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
John has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Aldo is proving hard to escape from.
John sitting in guard, not really doing much.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as John accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aldo pulls John in close to prevent any damage.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Nice sprawl there from Aldo as John shoots in.
It looked like Aldo wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
John misses with a takedown attempt - Aldo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

John darts in and clinches Aldo up against the cage.
John told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Aldo is trying to force a seperation but John has the dominant position.
Aldo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. John just stands there and leans against the cage.
Aldo tries for a takedown. No joy.
Aldo is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
John is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Aldo wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Aldo jumps guard but John turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimi Aldo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

John manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Aldo closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Aldo is trying for a kimura here. John looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Aldo wins by kimura!
