Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between PJ Benn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Mullings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, PJ Benn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andrew Mullings!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mullings stuffs the takedown attempt from Benn. Benn gets slowly back to his feet.

Mullings moves into range and clinches up with Benn.

Mullings breaks from the clinch.

Mullings closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Benn tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mullings smiles and moves away.
Benn misses with a takedown attempt - Mullings sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for PJ Benn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mullings fails with the takedown

and Benn counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mullings won't be happy with that.
Mullings wants to get back to his feet but Benn drags him back down.

Benn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mullings is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Mullings is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Mullings looks like he's trying to stand up.

Benn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mullings swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Benn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mullings as he jumps to the side.

and Mullings decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Benn's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mullings with a nice head shot there.
Mullings must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Benn working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mullings doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mullings manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mullings avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Benn is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Benn had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mullings is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Benn Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mullings's back instead.

Benn wants to control the position but Mullings frees himself and scrambles - Benn manages to regain control in side control.
Mullings manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Benn tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Mullings.
Mullings wants to control but Benn is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Benn is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Benn looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Mullings is looking to improve his position but Benn isn't that keen on the idea.

Benn looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Mullings is looking to get to half guard.
Benn seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Mullings is holding on tight.

Benn is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Mullings can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Benn takes Mullings's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Mullings is in trouble.

Andrew Mullings showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Andrew Mullings comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mullings has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
