Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dreamer Tatum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauro Gomes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mauro Gomes will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tatum keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gomes.
Tatum takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

It looks like Dreamer Tatum has been cut.
Tatum shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gomes as he jumps to the side.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Gomes keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
BOOM! Tatum connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Tatum misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Gomes manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Gomes, under a barage of strikes from Tatum.
Tatum thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gomes's head.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tatum shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gomes but Gomes pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dreamer Tatum. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gomes fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Dreamer Tatum's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Gomes scores with the left hand. Tatum knows he should have avoided that one.

Jeez, Dreamer Tatum's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Tatum drops his hands momentarily. Gomes doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Tatum staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Tatum doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
