Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Prince Volg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boris Yurinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Prince Volg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Boris Yurinov! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yurinov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Volg's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yurinov controls from within his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yurinov lands a couple of digs. Yurinov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Yurinov postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Volg on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Volg tries to get out of the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yurinov looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Yurinov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yurinov passes easily into side control. Nice work. Yurinov looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Volg is avoiding damage well.

Yurinov is trying to get an arm triangle but Volg is defending well. Yurinov throws an elbow but Volg slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Volg tries to buck Yurinov off but Yurinov is having none of it. Yurinov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Volg, who protects the arm well. Volg is trying to control Yurinov's posture but Yurinov avoids it. Yurinov decides to stand back up. Yurinov moves forwards but Volg connects with a nice, crisp jab. Yurinov gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Volg lands a jab to the nose. Volg punishes Yurinov's body with a nice straight punch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yurinov goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Yurinov takes one to the chin there. Yurinov pushes Volg up against the cage in a clinch. Yurinov successfully pulls guard.
Volg being controlled here momentarily. Volg tries to free his leg and advance position but Yurinov is retaining full guard. Yurinov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Volg's guard. Volg avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Yurinov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Volg is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yurinov staying calm. Volg gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Volg is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Boris Yurinov dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Yurinov gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Volg. Yurinov fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Volg to the ground. Yurinov is now in Volg's guard. Yurinov engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yurinov pushing down on Volg's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Yurinov wants to stand up but Volg manages to regain full guard. Volg is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Yurinov is in close to Volg's body, working some short punches and elbows. Yurinov tries to free his leg and advance position but Volg is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Yurinov in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Yurinov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Yurinov stands and throws Volg's legs to the side, diving into side control. Boris Yurinov has got the better of the ground game so far. Yurinov tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Volg being controlled for a moment. Volg keeping his opponent close. Yurinov wants to stand but Volg has his arm trapped.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Yurinov closes the distance and clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Yurinov has hold of one of Volg's legs. Volg is fighting the takedown attempt but Yurinov gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Volg is looking to sweep but instead, Yurinov has passed into half guard.
Yurinov not doing much here.
Yurinov is trying to work for a kimura but Volg is defending well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Yurinov controlling the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Boris Yurinov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Volg cracks Yurinov with an open hand slap. Volg scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Volg uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Volg throws a one two combo.
Yurinov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Yurinov tries to stand but Volg is controlling his head. Yurinov taking a breather here. Let's hope that Yurinov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

It looks like Prince Volg has been cut. Volg tries to bench press Yurinov off him but Yurinov keeps the position. Yurinov landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Yurinov in side control, just content to control the action for now. Yurinov swings around for an armbar but Volg sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Yurinov's guard. Yurinov has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Yurinov wants to sweep but no luck. Volg has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Volg with a flurry of punches that miss. Volg trying to control but Yurinov is working from the bottom. Yurinov has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Volg doesn't defend quickly enough and Yurinov has managed to lock this one up! Can Volg escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Yurinov on a fantastic submission victory.
