Akiyama doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Hogan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Akiyama is wriggling around but Hogan manages to pass to half guard.
Hogan not doing much here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hogan really is a fat lump.
Hogan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Akiyama has hold of Hogan's hands but Hogan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Hogan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Hogan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Hogan lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
