The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cage swings away with a body shot that misses
and Magician counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Magician performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Magician is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Magician passes the guard and advances to mount!
Cage has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Magician's lack of action.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Magician seems to be looking for submissions.
Magician is looking for a kimura but Cage is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Magician to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Magician tries to pass the half guard into mount. Cage knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Magician in particular looking to stall.
Magician seems to be working for a kimura but Cage defends the submission attempt.
Cage pushes Magician off looking to stand but Magician dives back in and keeps control.
Magician passes to side control.
Magician wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cage, who protects the arm well.
Magician looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Magician wants to control but Cage is keeping him busy.
Magician is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cage is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Magician tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Magician has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Magician wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cage keeps working.
Magician is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Cage looks calm but he's in trouble here. Magician gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Cage is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Magician lets go of the hold and Cage can pop his arm back in it's socket.
