Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Barker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brown is looking to chop away at Barker's legs. Brown looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Barker tries to close the distance and clinch but Brown swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Brown cracks Barker with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Nice sprawl there from Brown as Barker shoots in. Barker throws a sloppy head kick and Brown moves out of range easily. Barker keeps Brown at a distance using the push kick. Brown throws a right hand that Barker ducks under and follows up with a left that Barker also avoids with ease. Brown fails to land with a series of punches.
Barker tries to bum rush Brown with a series of wild strikes but Brown uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Brown throws a low kick, looking for Barker's leg but Barker calmly moves out of range. Barker fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Brown throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Barker. Barker throws a combination that misses and Brown cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Barker fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Barker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brown misses with a low kick as Barker jumps back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown throws a big shot that misses. Brown throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Brown misses with a double jab.
Barker blocks a leg kick. Barker fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Brown, pushing him back against the cage. Barker breaks the clinch.

It looks like Bob Barker has been cut. Brown swings for the body but Barker moves out of range.
Barker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brown as he avoids it easily. Brown keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Barker darts in and clinches Brown up against the cage. Barker goes for a takedown in the clinch but Brown prevents it.
Barker is breathing heavily. Barker is struggling to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brown wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Brown working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Brown tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Barker just stands there and leans against the cage. Brown on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

A left and a right from Brown both land. Nice combination. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brown throws a series of punches but Barker moves out of range. Brown swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Barker moves into the clinch. Brown tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Barker smiles and moves away.
A solid body kick from Brown. James Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brown lands a nice leg kick that just misses Barker's sensitive parts. Brown is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barker blocks a leg kick. Brown lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Barker backs up against the cage.
Brown throws a leg kick which misses Barker's front leg but catches the back leg as Barker tries to avoid it. Brown moves in looking to clinch but Barker pushes him off. Barker avoids a punch combination nicely.
Brown swats away the attempt to clinch by Barker. Brown's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Brown duly obliges. This has been an exciting period of action! Brown tries to score with a low kick but Barker moves his leg out of the way. Brown's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Brown duly obliges. Brown throws a right and a left that both miss. Brown scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown throws a series of punches but Barker avoids them all with ease. Brown clobbers Barker with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Barker tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Barker fails to land the takedown. Barker checks the leg kick. Barker misses with a takedown attempt - Brown sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Barker shoots in but no luck this time. Brown throws a series of punches but Barker avoids them all with ease. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Brown throws a head kick that misses. Barker dodges the punch combination from Brown.

James Brown dominated that round. The cut man is working on Bob Barker's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Brown stuffs the takedown. Brown throws a series of punches but Barker avoids them all with ease. Barker looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Brown throws a right and a left that both miss. Barker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brown pinned against the cage. Brown gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. James Brown seems to be getting the better of the standup. Barker drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Barker keeps the fight on the outside. Barker scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Brown is trying to control Barker's posture but Barker avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Barker goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Brown has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Barker but great work by Brown. Brown wants to control but Barker is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barker seems a little lost for a moment, as Brown dominates the positioning. Brown working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Barker wants to get back to his feet but Brown drags him back down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Barker tries to get back to half guard but can't. Barker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brown on the ground. Barker is not content to let Brown control the position. Brown has knee on belly and moves into mount. Brown can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Barker is looking to escape. Barker could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barker is trying to reverse the position but instead Brown has taken his back - oops! Barker tries to roll but Brown sticks to his back.
Brown tries to keep control of the position but Barker is staying busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barker is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Barker is trying to break free.
Brown looking to break Barker's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Barker remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Brown will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Barker covering up well and avoiding damage. Barker trying to control the position but Brown manages to sink in the hooks. Brown has Barker flattened out and is raining down punches. Brown just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

James Brown showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Bob Barker's cut. That's time! Barker's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Barker fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Barker fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brown sprawls well initially but Barker persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Barker controlling the action here. Barker is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Brown trying to keep a closed guard but Barker is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round. Barker trying to control the position from guard on top but Brown is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Barker stops Brown from standing up. Brown looking for a sweep. Not yet Brown, not yet. Brown is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Barker wants to stand and escape but instead Brown has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Brown wants to control from the top but Barker keeps moving. Barker on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Barker tries to get out of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Barker has his foot on Brown's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Brown works his way back into a safe position though. Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Barker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Brown throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Barker. Barker throws a head kick that misses and Brown counters with a one-two to the body. Brown closes the distance and lands a one-two. Barker has managed to clinch.

Brown closes the distance but Barker moves to the side and Barker holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Barker wants to break free but Brown has control.

Barker jumps guard but Brown stands there with Barker around his waist. Barker gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Barker. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brown tries to break the clinch but Barker is controlling the position. Brown changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Barker fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Barker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brown's waist but Brown gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Barker off to one side. James Brown is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barker closes this distance looking for a takedown but Brown circles away. Brown closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Brown slowing the pace effectively. Barker avoiding damage.

And that's the end of the fight! James Brown comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Brown winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
