Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boyd Lowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Montel Williams Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lowe comes to the cage accompanied by millon dollar driver. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams Jr thows a leg kick but Lowe checks it
and Lowe counters with a big head kick but Williams Jr shrugs it off.
Lowe throws a head kick but Williams Jr moves out of range.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Lowe enables Williams Jr to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lowe manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Lowe is trying to control the position but Williams Jr postures up.
Williams Jr drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Lowe dives on top into guard.

Williams Jr has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lowe can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams Jr is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Lowe is refusing to be controlled, as Williams Jr sits in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lowe pushes Williams Jr off looking to stand but Williams Jr dives back in and keeps control.

Williams Jr uses his free foot to push down on Lowe's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lowe.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Williams Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lowe swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lowe seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Williams Jr tries to free his leg and advance position but Lowe is retaining full guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Lowe tries to close the distance and clinch up but Williams Jr swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lowe looks for a takedown but Williams Jr sprawls well.
Williams Jr has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Williams Jr throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Williams Jr is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lowe defends it well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lowe manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Williams Jr manages to get himself to full guard.
Williams Jr has his foot on Lowe's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lowe works his way back into a safe position though.
Williams Jr is breathing heavily.

Lowe manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Williams Jr keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Williams Jr is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Lowe to keep the fight standing.
Lowe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lowe closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Lowe is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Williams Jr has escaped the position, nice work there.
Lowe tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lowe has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lowe wants to pass the guard but Williams Jr is keeping the position.
Lowe cracks Williams Jr with a solid left hand.
Lowe wants to get up but he can't break Williams Jr's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Williams Jr throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lowe's waist but Lowe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Williams Jr off to one side.

Lowe cracks Williams Jr with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Williams Jr tries to keep at a distance but Lowe has taken the fight into the clinch.

Well Lowe has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
