Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lyoto Parks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georgio Socrates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Socrates's choice of entrance music: Tool - Schism. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
18 - 8 - 1, fighting out of London, Lyoto Parks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Georgio Socrates!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Socrates shoots for a double leg takedown but Parks sprawls well. He's pushed Socrates's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A jab lands there for Parks.
Socrates with a poor takedown
and Parks counters with a nice uppercut.
Georgio Socrates seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Socrates looking to score a takedown here. Parks is defending well but Socrates drives through and ends up in Parks's guard.
Socrates missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Socrates told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Parks is pulling down on Socrates's head. It's preventing any offense from Socrates, at least for the moment.
Socrates is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Let's hope that Socrates has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Socrates drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Parks manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Socrates has Parks in his guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Socrates is looking for a takedown.
Lyoto Parks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Georgio Socrates.
Socrates blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Parks tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Socrates tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Parks lands a hook that snaps the head of Socrates backwards.

Socrates is trying to drag Parks to the mat but Parks just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Socrates has Parks pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Parks manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Parks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Socrates swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Parks stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Socrates gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Parks closes the distance and pushes Socrates back into the cage.
Socrates blocks an uppercut.
Parks working aggressively here.
Socrates drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Socrates jumps guard but Parks stands there with Socrates around his waist. Socrates gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Socrates has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Parks uses from the top position.
Parks throws a big right hand that misses.
Parks looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Socrates is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Socrates can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Parks controls the pace.

Socrates is rocked!
Parks lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Socrates falls backwards - clearly groggy! Parks dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
