Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Rockin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durden has chosen Monster as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Robbie Rockin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Edward Durden!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Durden.
Rockin wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
An inside leg kick lands from Rockin.
Rockin blocks a head kick by Durden.
Rockin scoring well with a low kick there.

and Rockin holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Durden blocks an uppercut.
Rockin lands a right hand.
Durden is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Durden is trying to break the clinch but Rockin has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rockin tries to work over Durden's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Rockin lands a body shot in the clinch.

Rockin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

I was talking to Rockin's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Rockin misses with a body punch.

Rockin works on Durden's body with a couple of short punches.
Rockin tries a body shot but Durden blocks it.
Rockin gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Durden.
Rockin lands a left hand that snaps the head of Durden backwards.

Rockin lands with a short shot to the head.
Rockin lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Rockin goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Rockin tries to throw a body punch but Durden avoids it by throwing Rockin back against the cage.
Rockin is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Robbie Rockin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edward Durden.
Rockin throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Durdens head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Durden has picked Rockin up - he's going for a ride! Durden dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rockin holds on and takes a little breather.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Durden looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
As Durden backs away, Rockin returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Rockin takes a kick to the side of the head.


It looks like Robbie Rockin has been cut.
Durden takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Rockin throws a nice inside leg kick.
Durden throws a leg kick that misses.
Durden sizes up Rockin with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Durden clinches.
A nice left hand lands by Rockin.
Rockin dodges an elbow strike from Durden.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Durden with a lazy takedown attempt
enabling Rockin to counter with a crisp jab.
Durden tries to clinch but Rockin is having none of it.
Durden takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Durden is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Rockin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Durden can do to turn this around?
Durden shoots in looking for a takedown but Rockin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Durden's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Rockin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Durden.
Robbie Rockin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Edward Durden.
Durden shoots in looking for a takedown. Rockin tries to sprawl out of it but Durden keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rockin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rockin was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Rockin lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rockin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Durden.
Durden looks to score with a jab to the body but Rockin is just out of range.

Durden tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Rockin counters with a nice body kick.
Durden is breathing heavily.
Durden takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Durden throws a sloppy head kick and Rockin moves out of range easily.
Rockin feinted with a counter takedown.
Durden takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Rockin turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Durden swings for the body but Rockin moves out of range.
Rockin tries to counter by clinching up but Durden breaks away and moves out of range.
Durden feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Rockins jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Durden throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Rockin counters with a crisp one two that drops Durden! Rockin thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Durden to his feet! Durden is in big trouble!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Crunch! Rockin slams his shin into Durden's torso.

Rockin feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Durden sprawling to the canvas! Durden rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rockin finish him?!


Durden is rocked!
Rockin lands a slapping body shot.
Durden is still on wobbly legs! Can Rockin finish him?
Rockin jabs at Durden's body.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Rockin! Durden is out on his feet! Rockin rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Durden is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Durden is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Robbie Rockin!
A very excited looking Robbie Rockin made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
