Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jere Spence (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rusko Brusten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jere Spence has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jere Spence! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rusko Brusten! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brusten rushes Spence and presses him up against the cage. Brusten lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Spence tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Brusten manages to move to mount!
Spence tries to lock up and control but Brusten gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Poor strikes thrown by Brusten there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Brusten controlling the position easily from mount. Brusten stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Brusten tries to clinch but Spence is having none of it. Spence fires out a quick counter leg kick but Brusten just manages to avoid it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brusten plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Spence really is a fat lump. Brusten clinches. Spence being controlled against the cage. This has been an exciting period of action! Brusten drags the fight down to the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brusten has his foot on Spence's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Spence works his way back into a safe position though. Spence trying to control but Brusten is working from the bottom. Spence cracks Brusten with a solid left hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Spence showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Brusten bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Spence's guard. Brusten not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Spence working a defensive guard here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spence looking to hit a scissor sweep but Brusten is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spence is striking off his back. Brusten thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Brusten passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Spence! Spence is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Brusten wants to control the pace but Spence is squirming around nicely. Spence tries to lock up and control but Brusten gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Spence wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Brusten.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spence tries to get back to half guard but can't. Brusten misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Brusten wants to control but instead Spence manages to regain half guard. Brusten wants to lay and pray for a moment but Spence keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Brusten is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Spence defends it well. Brusten is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Spence working a defensive guard here.
Spence seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Spence keeping full guard, as Brusten tries to pass. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Spence controlling the position. Spence looking for a sweep. Not yet Spence, not yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rusko Brusten dominated that round. That's time! Spence's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Brusten bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Brusten has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Brusten decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Spence gets back to full guard.
Spence is trying to keep Brusten in close.
Spence is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rusko Brusten has got the better of the ground game so far. Brusten is fighting to break Spence's control of his arms but Spence is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Spence is striking but Brusten is not phased and passes to half guard. Spence might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spence is not content to let Brusten control the position. Brusten missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Brusten content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Brusten is thwarting Spence's attempts to control the position. Brusten is taking a breather. Spence says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Spence tries to get to full guard but Brusten has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Spence flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Brusten wants to control the pace but Spence is squirming around nicely. Spence's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Brusten avoids the attempt from Spence to control. Brusten thowing shots but they're missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brusten can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Spence is looking to escape. Brusten throwing strikes here but Spence is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Brusten takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Spence tries to control the position but Brusten now has his back.
Spence trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Brusten controls the position. Brusten not allowing Spence to control his hands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Spence just looking to survive in the bad position. Brusten throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Spence trying to get back to his feet but Brusten is in full control for now. Brusten has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Spence's body.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rusko Brusten showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Brusten gets the takedown into side control. Brusten throws a strike aimed at the side of Spence's head but Spence avoids it well. Brusten has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Brusten trying to control the position but Spence is working away. Spence prevents Brusten from moving into mount. Spence is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Brusten has just dragged him back down to the mat. Brusten throws a strike aimed at the side of Spence's head but Spence avoids it well. Spence tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Brusten wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Spence is working hard here to advance position. Brusten working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brusten wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Spence, who protects the arm well. The strikes coming from Brusten are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Brusten stands up and beckons Spence to his feet. Spence wants to clinch. Brusten shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Spence napping and manages to drive through into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spence holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage. You can see the frustration on Spence's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Brusten working the ground and pound but Spence is defending the strikes. Brusten works to advance to full mount. Spence defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Spence tries to improve his position but instead Brusten has taken his back! Brusten is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Spence is defending well though. Brusten let's go of the attempt for now. Brusten controlling well, preventing Spence from escaping the position.

And that's the end of the fight! Rusko Brusten comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Brusten has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
