Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Osias Dante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Stuard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Osias Dante! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimmy Stuard! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Eddie Farnsworth and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dante changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stuard looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Stuard is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Stuard works his way to full guard. Good work. Stuard has his foot on Dante's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dante works his way back into a safe position though. Stuard is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Dante throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dante drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Stuard manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dante has Stuard in his guard. Stuard controlling from the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dante wants to hit a switch here but Stuard passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Dante there!
That's one minute gone in the round. Stuard controlling from the full mount. It looks like Stuard might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Stuard won't let Dante get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Stuard controlling the pace for now. Stuard is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dante can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Stuard moves to the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dante defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Stuard controls the position. Stuard controlling well, preventing Dante from escaping the position.
Stuard controls the action. Stuard is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Dante knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Dante for a finish.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stuard working for a choke but Dante reverses nicely into Stuard 's guard. Dante wants to control from the top but Stuard keeps moving. Dante wants to pass the guard but Stuard is keeping the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Stuard throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Dante throws a big right hand that misses. Dante looking to sit in guard and control but Stuard gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Stuard's corner is telling him to maintain position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dante is trying to control the position but Stuard postures up. Stuard is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Stuard trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Stuard dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Stuard takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Dante gets caught flat footed, as Stuard shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Stuard sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Dante's guard. Still in half guard, Stuard seems content to control. Dante trying to control here.
Stuard performing his best blanket impression for a moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Let's hope that Stuard has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dante wants to control but Stuard is keeping busy and won't allow it. Stuard is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dante doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stuard. Well, if Stuard is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Stuard's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Stuard misses with a head shot. Dante uses the momentum to regain guard. Stuard controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Dante feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dante won't allow Stuard to sweep him here. Dante trying to control but Stuard is working from the bottom. Stuard is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dante is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Stuard is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Stuard has escaped and now he's on top! Stuard showing good wrestling skills to control the position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Nice body punch from Dante. Stuard thuds his right hand into Dante's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Dante will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
No joy there for Dante, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dante scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Dante is looking for a kimura but Stuard is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dante to get the leverage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Stuard manages to get to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dante trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Stuard counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Stuard. Stuard tries to free his leg and advance position but Dante is retaining full guard. Stuard's corner is telling him to maintain position. Dante looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Stuard misses with a takedown attempt - Dante sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Osias Dante seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dante chopping away at his opponent's legs.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Stuard shoots in but no luck this time. Dante lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Stuard dives in and scores a takedown into Dante's guard. Stuard takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Stuard slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Dante escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stuard gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Stuard is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Dante looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stuard showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dante lands a jab-cross combination. Dante connects with an inside leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dante lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. A solid leg kick lands there for Dante.
Dante scores with a hook to the body. Stuard takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Stuard closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Dante tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Stuard wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Dante is being controlled here. Jimmy Stuard has got the better of the ground game so far. Dante pushes Stuard away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Stuard gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Dante is trying to escape the position but Stuard is controlling the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Stuard is continuing to stall. The adventures of Stuard the control monster continue. Boring.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Osias Dante. I think Dante has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
