The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington throws a poor cross that misses
and Roberts counters with a three punch combo that has Washington backing up. Washington nods at Roberts to acknowledge the strikes.
Roberts ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Washington moves away.
Roberts keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Washington.
A little feinted left hand from Roberts on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Washington misses with the combination.
Washington gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
The crowd cheers as Roberts lands an impressive looking overhand right. Washington doesn't seem phased though.
Washington scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Washington is taking a breather. Roberts says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
