Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johannes Vaulen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Vaulen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I Love Norwegian Country. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johannes Vaulen!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dave Hanson!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vaulen tries to avoid it but Hanson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vaulen to the ground. Vaulen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Vaulen is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Hanson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A swing and a miss from Vaulen.
Vaulen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hanson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hanson's corner calls for a 1-2. Hanson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Johannes Vaulen has been cut.
Vaulen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hanson, pushing him back against the cage.
Vaulen throws a head punch that misses.
Hanson takes an elbow to the temple.
Still in the clinch, Vaulen scores with a nice short uppercut.
Hanson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Vaulen pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Johannes Vaulen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Hanson.
Vaulen lands an elbow just above Hanson 's eye.
A head punch on the inside from Vaulen fails to land.
Vaulen lands a right hand.
Vaulen creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Hanson's defenses.
Vaulen throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Hansons head.

Hanson goes for a takedown attempt but Vaulen pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Vaulen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hanson.
Vaulen moves away from the strike by Hanson.
Hanson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vaulen.
Vaulen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Vaulen creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Vaulen gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Hanson gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Hanson passes to side control.
Vaulen takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vaulen tries to bench press Hanson off him but Hanson keeps the position.
Hanson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Vaulen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Hanson has hold of Vaulen's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Vaulen seems comfortable defending it but Hanson has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Vaulen is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Vaulen is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Hanson couldn't care less - he's delighted!
