Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jacob Clarke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Timmy Te O! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jonathan Paton and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Te O takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Clarke misses with a head kick.
Te O blocks a jab. A little jabbing left from Te O on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Clarke lands a leg kick that knocks Te O off balance momentarily. Clarke darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Clarke tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Te O was well out of range. Poor timing from Clarke. Clarke throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Te O is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Clarke throws out a loose jab but Te O uses good head movement to avoid it. Te O throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Clarke tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Te O is in Clarke's guard. Clarke has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Te O can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Clarke looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Te O passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Te O wants to work for an arm triangle but Clarke is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Clarke's coaches at The Butcher's Block have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position. Clarke looking for submissions off his back. Te O is trying to work for a kimura but Clarke is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Clarke is refusing to be controlled, as Te O sits in half guard. Clarke is looking for a sweep. Te O is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Te O missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Te O perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. Te O should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Te O looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Clarke with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Te O is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Clarke is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
