Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jaroslaw Kaczynski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Fedor Emelianenko! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kaczynski pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Emelianenko looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Kaczynski goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Emelianenko wants to clinch. Kaczynski throws a series of strikes that have Emelianenko backpedaling.
It looks like Fedor Emelianenko has been cut. Emelianenko takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Kaczynski keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kaczynski thuds a left hand into Emelianenko's body. Kaczynski waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Emelianenko. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Emelianenko to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kaczynski stands and steps away. Emelianenko gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Emelianenko tries to clinch there but Kaczynski circles away.
The fight moves into the clinch position. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Emelianenko has eaten all the pies!
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianenko goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Kaczynski is looking to break free of the clinch but Emelianenko has double underhooks. Emelianenko has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kaczynski after a bit of a struggle. Emelianenko tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Kaczynski is trying to break the clinch but Emelianenko is controlling him. Kaczynski has had enough of the clinch but Emelianenko keeps him there for the moment. Kaczynski is trying to break the clinch but Emelianenko has him pressed against the cage. Emelianenko drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kaczynski gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Jaroslaw Kaczynski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fedor Emelianenko. Emelianenko looks winded! Kaczynski is trying to break free.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Emelianenko tries to pull guard but Kaczynski forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Kaczynski is pushing Emelianenko up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Kaczynski can't break the clinch.
Kaczynski breaks the clinch.
Emelianenko shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Kaczynski counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Kaczynski drops Emelianenko with a right and a left! Kaczynski comes rushing in but Emelianenko regains his composure and manages to keep Kaczynski in guard.
Kaczynski stands up and waves to Emelianenko to follow him. Kaczynski throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Kaczynski throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kaczynski lands a left and a right that sends Emelianenko crashing to the canvas! Kaczynski dives into mount looking to finish!
Emelianenko is rocked! Kaczynski stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Kaczynski lands with a right and another and another! Emelianenko is in big trouble! Kaczynski lands again and this time it's lights out for Emelianenko! A quality knockout there for Kaczynski.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jaroslaw Kaczynski!
