Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richard Jay Franlkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burbank Bulldog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franlkin comes to the cage accompanied by ACDC- For Those About To Rock . Bulldog comes into a darkened arena with his song building. British Bulldog kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Richard Jay Franlkin has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Richard Jay Franlkin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Burbank Bulldog! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bulldog throws a lazy uppercut
and Franlkin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Franlkin tests Bulldog's chin there with a solid looking shot. Bulldog takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Franlkin has closed the distance and engaged Bulldog in a clinch.
Bulldog is trying to pull guard but Franlkin has him pressed against the cage. Bulldog breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bulldog tries to clinch but Franlkin moves away and Franlkin counters with a lovely shot to the body. Franlkin leaves Bulldog with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Bulldog has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Franlkin uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Franlkin is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Bulldog throws a low kick but Franlkin avoids it. Franlkin was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Franlkin lands a jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A jab from Franlkin misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bulldog throws a left and a right that both miss
and Franlkin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Richard Jay Franlkin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Franlkin stuffs the takedown attempt from Bulldog. Bulldog gets slowly back to his feet. Franlkin is looking to counter punch. Richard Jay Franlkin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Burbank Bulldog. Bulldog throws a head kick that misses and Franlkin counters with a nice right hand that sends Bulldog toppling to the canvas! Bulldog scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Franlkin finish him?!
Bulldog is rocked! Bulldog fails with the takedown. Franlkin swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Bulldog throws a leg kick that is checked and Franlkin counters with a nice uppercut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bulldog misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bulldog tries to clinch but Franlkin moves away and Franlkin counters with a nice right hand that sends Bulldog toppling to the canvas! Bulldog scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Franlkin finish him?! Bulldog is still on wobbly legs! Can Franlkin finish him? Bulldog tries to clinch but Franlkin moves out of range. Bulldog shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Franlkin counters with a nice right hand that sends Bulldog toppling to the canvas! Bulldog scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Franlkin finish him?!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bulldog with a lazy takedown attempt and Franlkin counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Richard Jay Franlkin! In his post fight interview, Richard Jay Franlkin started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
