Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between phil baroni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sparq Tan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tan takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
No joy there for baroni, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
baroni lands a nice hook to Tan's body. Tan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

baroni closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Tan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. baroni tries to avoid it but Tan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag baroni to the ground. baroni escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and Tan counters by moving into the clinch.
Tan breaks from the clinch.
Tan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

baroni connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Tan clinches up with baroni and pushes him back against the cage.
Tan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. baroni just stands there and leans against the cage.
phil baroni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sparq Tan.

Tan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

baroni throws a right hand that Tan ducks under and follows up with a left that Tan also avoids with ease.

Tan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with baroni but baroni pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Tan wants to lay and pray for a moment but baroni keeps working.

Tan taking a breather but there's no such thing in a fight! baroni has locked on to a kimura from the bottom - he uses it to sweep and is now looking to finish from the top position! He's got it! Tan has tapped! Great work by baroni! Lay and pray doesn't pay, kids! Just remember, you heard it here first.
