Ben Faur comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Remember The Name kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jean Ben Faur has the better chin. 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jean Ben Faur ! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Milne on the wrong end of a nice jab. Milne throws out a loose jab but Ben Faur uses good head movement to avoid it. Ben Faur tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. We've been told by Milne's head coaches at Animal House that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Milne throws a body kick that misses. Milne swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ben Faur makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Ben Faur tries to clinch up. Ben Faur misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Milne tries to counter with a takedown but Ben Faur is quick to defend against it. Ben Faur misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Milne ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ben Faur moves away. Ben Faur drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Milne defends it well. Milne darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Milne thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ben Faur wants to get back to his feet.
Milne is pressing down on Ben Faur 's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ben Faur is holding on for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
