PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jese Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chief Sperry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Romero might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to King of Rock. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sperry defends it nicely.

Sperry feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sperry loads up with a big shot that hurts Romero! He's pulled Sperry in close but Sperry has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Romero survive? More strikes from Sperry and Romero is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
