The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frankson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mendez on his heels. He'll look to pass Mendez's guard now, I'm sure.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Frankson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Frankson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Oooooh!!! Mendez has knocked Frankson down with a huge combo! Mendez steps away and waves a wobbly Frankson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Mendez feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Frankson crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
