The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Joseph Jones and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rick Jr avoids a punch combination nicely.
Burt lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rick Jr circles away quickly and effectively.
Burt throws a nice outside leg kick.
Burt throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Rick Jr tries to counter by closing the distance.
Rick Jr darts in and clinches Burt up against the cage.
Rick Jr comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Alfredo Burt has been cut.
Burt has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
A frustrated look appears on Burt's face as he tries to break the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Rick Jr just misses with a elbow thrown towards Burt's brow.

Burt is trying to drag Rick Jr to the mat but Rick Jr just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Rick Jr pushes off an throws an elbow but Burt leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Burt is trying to break the clinch but Rick Jr has him pressed against the cage.
Rick Jr gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Burt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Burt avoids the elbow strike from Rick Jr, against the cage.
Burt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Burt misses with a series of wild punches.
Rick Jr swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Burt.
Alfredo Burt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burt gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Rick Jr lands an elbow just above Burt 's eye.
Burt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rick Jr gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Rick Jr creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Burt's defenses.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Burt takes an elbow to the forehead.
Rick Jr lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Burt breaks the clinch.
Burt takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Rick Jr drives through and clinches with Burt against the cage.
Burt pulls guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Burt tries to strike from the bottom.

Burt wants to stand but Rick Jr is controlling the position.
Burt looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rick Jr is one step ahead there.
Rick Jr lying in Burt's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Burt decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Rick Jr taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
