And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakurai tries a head kick but it misses.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Haikio.
Sakurai takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Haikio is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sakurai is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Haikio advances to full mount.
Sakurai manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Sakurai is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Haikio pulls his head out easily.
Sakurai is not content to let Haikio control the position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Sakurai manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Haikio must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Haikio is pushing down on Sakurai 's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sakurai is fighting to maintain full guard but Haikio has managed to sneak the leg through.
Haikio not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Haikio wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sakurai keeps working.
Haikio is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Haikio looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Haikio is trying to control the action in half guard but Sakurai is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sakurai wants to improve his position but Haikio is controlling well.
Sakurai is pressing down on Haikio's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Haikio is posturing up here but Sakurai has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Haikio tries to roll out but it's too tight and Haikio has to tap! Slick submission there by Sakurai !
