The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Holt closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into RIck's guard.
RIck has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Holt accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

RIck has his foot on Holt's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Holt works his way back into a safe position though.
Holt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for RIck on the ground.
Holt wants to get up but he can't break RIck's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Holt wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of RIck's closed guard. He's half up but RIck has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! RIck pivots and extends the arm, Holt falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by RIck! Well done that man!
