Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aristos Ioannidis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Mcracken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ioannidis comes to the cage accompanied by If I Can't - 50 Cent. Mcracken has chosen Onra - I Wanna Go Back as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aristos Ioannidis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phil Mcracken! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mcracken goes for a double leg but Ioannidis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ioannidis continues to drive forward. Mcracken shoots in for a takedown but Ioannidis shows good takedown defense. Ioannidis closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ioannidis lands in his opponent's guard. Ioannidis in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Mcracken scores with a short punch from the bottom. Mcracken wants to hit a switch here but Ioannidis passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Mcracken there! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ioannidis sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Mcracken tries to get back to half guard but can't. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ioannidis scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Ioannidis trying to control but he's not successful this time. Ioannidis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mcracken on the ground. Mcracken is trying to reverse the position but instead Ioannidis has taken his back - oops!

Mcracken has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ioannidis is proving hard to escape from. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ioannidis is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mcracken won't allow Ioannidis to get back to his feet. Ioannidis has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Mcracken slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Ioannidis.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ioannidis trying to control here.
Ioannidis holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Ioannidis is looking to control Mcracken's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ioannidis avoid being mounted? It looks like Mcracken is going to stand back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ioannidis squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Mcracken is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. Ioannidis wants to hold on but Mcracken pushes him away. Ioannidis is looking to get to half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Aristos Ioannidis will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Mcracken gets a double leg takedown into Ioannidis's guard. Ioannidis is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Ioannidis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mcracken can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ioannidis looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcracken preventing the sweep. Mcracken trying to stand up but can't free himself from Ioannidis's guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Mcracken changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ioannidis tries to avoid it but Mcracken manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ioannidis to the ground. Ioannidis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ioannidis shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mcracken napping and manages to drive through into side control! Mcracken sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Mcracken throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Ioannidis thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mcracken's head. Mcracken makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mcracken. Ioannidis decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Mcracken looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Ioannidis!
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Ioannidis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mcracken tries to stand but Ioannidis is controlling his head. Ioannidis tries to buck Mcracken off but Mcracken is having none of it. Ioannidis is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Ioannidis can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ioannidis tries to bench press Mcracken off him but Mcracken keeps the position. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Mcracken tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Aristos Ioannidis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ioannidis misses with a jab to the body
and Mcracken counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Mcracken. Ioannidis has Mcracken pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ioannidis pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mcracken tumbling to the mat - Ioannidis dives into Mcracken's guard. Ioannidis wants to pass the guard but Mcracken is keeping the position. Mcracken keeping moving, preventing Ioannidis from controlling successfully. Ioannidis preventing the sweep. Mcracken with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Ioannidis can't handle though.
Mcracken will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Ioannidis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mcracken swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mcracken striking off his back but it's not causing Ioannidis any problems. Mcracken will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Mcracken thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Ioannidis trying to control but Mcracken is working from the bottom.

That was a close second round but I would say that Aristos Ioannidis will probably get the nod. That's time! Ioannidis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Mcracken fails with the takedown and Ioannidis counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Mcracken trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Mcracken throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Mcracken bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ioannidis's guard. Mcracken postures up.

Ioannidis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mcracken is working away from the top position though. Mcracken wants to stand but Ioannidis has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Mcracken gets caught flat footed, as Ioannidis shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Ioannidis slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Ioannidis won't allow Mcracken to sweep him here. Mcracken thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Mcracken being controlled here, momentarily. Mcracken throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Aristos Ioannidis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ioannidis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mcracken is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Ioannidis wants to control but Mcracken is keeping busy and won't allow it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that's the end of the fight! Aristos Ioannidis showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ioannidis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
