Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Warren Fletcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bald Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warren Fletcher has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bald Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Columbo Gatti and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fletcher gets a double leg takedown into Diaz's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Diaz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fletcher is aware though and is defending well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Fletcher moves into range and clinches up with Diaz.

Diaz ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Diaz no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Fletcher feints and as Diaz raises his hands in defense, Fletcher changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Diaz is breathing heavily.
Fletcher chips away with some ground and pound.
Fletcher not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Diaz has his foot on Fletcher's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fletcher works his way back into a safe position though.

Fletcher has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Fletcher wants to get up but he can't break Diaz's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Diaz is looking for a triangle here but Fletcher uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Fletcher stands up and beckons Diaz to his feet.

That's time! Fletcher's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Fletcher got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diaz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fletcher has managed to get both his arms back between Diaz's legs - danger averted.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Fletcher closes the distance and clinches.

Fletcher is pulling down on Diaz's head. It's preventing any offense from Diaz, at least for the moment.
Diaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fletcher swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Diaz drops back, looking for a kneebar! Fletcher looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Fletcher looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Fletcher!
Diaz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Diaz is letting Fletcher control him for a moment.

Fletcher stands up.
Fletcher takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Fletcher drives through and clinches with Diaz against the cage.

Fletcher clinches up with Diaz and pushes him back against the cage.
